Daveboy

Wallace McDougal, commonly known as 'Daveboy', is a highland Scotsman and a close friend and ally of Alfred Pennyworth and Bazza.

History[]

Nothing much is known about Daveboy's history, other than that he was a member of the SAS, where he served with Pennyworth and Bazza. He left the SAS service with the two, moving back to London.

Struggles post-SAS[]

Attending a funeral at the start of Pilot. As another whom they knew from the army has killed him self since being back. Telling both Bazza and Alfred Pennyworth that he is missing being back there. Pennyworth tells them he started a Security business. He would eventually become an employee at Pennyworth Security.

Following his employment as an SAS soldier, Daveboy struggled with flashbacks and mental health issues. In Martha Kane, Daveboy showed no fear of impending death, despite at the time having a gun pointed at his head. When confronted by Bazza, who questioned if he was suicidal, Daveboy admitted that he was not suicidal, just wanted to pass the time.

Helping the No Name League[]

Despite being a retired member of the army, Daveboy still follows closely to Alfred Pennyworth's orders. When Alfred reveals that they will aid Martha Kane and indirectly the No Name League, Daveboy is on board as he realises there is a profit to be made. Not directly involved with saving Thurso's machine from the Raven Society in Martha Kane. He is in further missions beyond that.

In Shirley Bassey, back when Julian Thwaite and Undine Thwaite whom lead the No Name League had Thomas Wayne brought to their home, with a plan to have a sit down to talk peace. Really to plan to see Dr. Frances Gaunt dead. That Wayne was to arrange the details. Wayne goes ahead to the club to enlisted Dave Boy and Bazza for the task. Dave Boy answers we are not pastry chiefs. Wayne wanted someone blotted. Bazza keeps stating that he is not interested. Both see that Wayne is no longer the righteous and respectable man whom they had met. Dave Boy asked the pay, Bazza states we are not murders. That did not bother Dave Boy who had done worse for free. Bazza reminds both men, that the police are already watching them, but Wayne had an answer, if the police knew about it they would thank them. On the promise he would earn the full £1,000 amount Dave Boy took the job. Bazza asks Dave Boy to think. Dave boy states that he is thinking all the time.

Mr. Chadley comes over finding both sitting, tells Mr. McDougal and Mr. Bashford there is turmoil in the lady's room and a woman's scream sends him back that way. Bazza left the table to go back to work for the club.

Dave Boy gets in, taking out all opposition from the kitchen staff by locking them in and shooting the armed men. Dave Boy asks Dr. Gaunt to closer her eyes so that he will be able to shoot her, but she shoots him first. Dr. Gaunt enlists Mrs. Thwaite to help provide pressure to prevent him from bleeding out. A masked man came in with another target. Dr. Gaunt recognizes the voice to be Alfred. Julian Thwaite's head was taken off. Dave Boy and Alfred shoot their way out.

Only by Cilla Black Sid questioned Dave Boy being still in pain. As always Dave Boy explains, it is only a scratch. Wayne comes by the pub after looking for 2 days, and was angry as the wrong target was hit. Having only the explanation that it was one of those thing and that he is sorry. Trying to find out who the other fellow was that was there for his target. Dave Boy answers he was in a mask. How the hell would I know. Wayne wanted to know who the masked was that night, and whom he was working for. Wayne reveals his anger towards Alfred, and reveals that he is aware of the link to John Ripper. After their talk, Dave Boy learns what friends Wayne mentions, Alfred explains that he works as an agent for the CIA only posing at a No Name.

When Alfred murders John Curzon, Daveboy is sad to see him make plans to flee the country, but is on board nevertheless. He is more excited when the ports are closed and Alfred enlists him and Bazza to help kill Lord Harwood — a plan he gets on board with instantly.

Learning from Thomas Wayne in Marianne Faithfull when reaching Martha Kane's apartment that the Queen has been kidnapped. Alfred thinks that if he saves the Queen then he will be free to stay in the country. Able to solve that the Sykes sister had the queen. The group broke in and faced off against the sister, and Mrs Spicer and Mr Spicer. Dave Boy got stabbed in the process.

Small jobs, Saving for America[]

Martha and Aziz go to Alfred's club The Delaney located in with the West End Neutral Zone, with a job in The Heavy Crown. Alfred is meant to abduct Colonel Salt, Aziz shows Alfred the photo of the chap. Martha tells where, he has a mistress, shows up at random times, at least once a week. The 2 leave the office, Bazza walks in, Dave boy pops out. Talking money and if America really looks like in movie. The 3 toasts to America.

Alfie, Bazza, Daveboy set them self outside the house. Bazza had the binoculars. In the day time the 2 cars arrive. That night they sneak in, finding Salt and his mistress intimate on the floor. Putting him in the van and drive back. Salt tries to talk or bribe his way to freedom. Reaching the check-point they speed up and Dave boy bazookas the gate. Salt recognizes Alfred from the papers and claims his dad was a hero to him. Salt tells Alfred he likes to know what makes people tick. Alfred seems glad to hand Salt over to Aziz, Dave boy and Bazza were standing to the side waiting. Only Salt is snatched right back not long after and quickly resumes work for the Raven Union.

Evens progress by The Burning Bridge, Bazza asked "When do we tell Charlie and the staff" Alfred states "we don't, we will leave'n a note and some cash." or else they be announcing it to everyone in London, they toast to hard choices.

Mrs. Pennyworth has been kidnapped. Bazza answers the phone She reads Alfred a letter, demanding $20,000 and that they know that Pennyworth and his friends do at last have the money. Come alone in 1 hour or his mom is dead. Alfred was told to go alone. Dave Boy and Bazza were around to help. Be amateur Alfred was able to take the gun away, make them tell the location. Switching the 2 out for Bazza and Dave Boy since they were in masks, they went to the trailer to save his mom. The cops come and open fire on everyone, and let the kidnapper get away with the money. Aziz thought that it had to do with Salt and almost shooting Alfred's mom.

After a dream wile a bomb went off at his house at the start of The Belt and Welt, Alfred joins Dave boy and Bazza at the club. To tell the 2 he thinks he knows who might have kidnapped his mom and took their money to get to America. It had to be someone who does not fear them, that is a short list. It likely is Gulliver Troy.

As Alfred continues to search for the person who stole his money, it is eventually clear the culprit is actually one of the patrons at his nightclub named Vic. Explained after Dave Boy admits that one night when he was drunk, he bragged about the money he, Bazza and Alfred had earned to leave the city. They track Vic down to a traveling circus thanks to Vic's girlfriend Sheri, the nightclub's barmaid. Vic and his men open fire, and Alfred, Bazza and Dave Boy fight back. Alfred finds Vic and the two fight over the money -- and the altercation ends with Alfred using a piece of broken mirror to stab Vic in the throat. Dying, Vic is found by his girlfriend and she attempts to drive away with the money. She crashes the car into some nearby barrels. Unfortunately, Bazza is nearest to the crash, and the explosion fatally wounds him. Bleeding on the ground, Bazza tragically asks his two friends to swear to him that they will lead quiet, happy lives where they become rich and married. In the end, Alfred and Dave boy are left with no money since it went up in flames, and the guilt of his actions leading to the death of another one of his friends.

Alfred is still reeling from the terrible loss of losing his friend Bazza. A funeral is held for Bazza at the start of The Hunted Fox, Dave boy attends along with Mrs. Pennyworth and Sandra. there Alfred is reunited with his old SAS Captain, Gulliver Troy. But in this moment, all Alfred cares about is leaving London with his mom for America. He needs money and fast. Alfred turned down Troy's offer to work for him, he changes his mind and agrees to join Troy's crew of Banjo, Monty, and Rita for whatever job they have coming next. to steal gold from the mayor of London, which involves Troy and his crew attacking the mayor's carriage in the middle of the road. While the gold doesn't appear to be onboard, Alfred brutally beats the mayor until he tells them where it is hidden. Dave Boy and the one member of the crew Banjo kept clashing and anticizing Dave Boy.

Alfred Pennyworth meets with Thomas Wayne in The Bleeding Heart, at his CIA office remembering he could get them a seat to America, and asks the CIA agent what it would cost but the price is steep. Alfred didn't have enough.

Still needing money, when Alfred got back to tell him, Dave Boy cursed at how much. Then state the easy answer. To sallow their pride and to take a last job with Gully Troy. Alfred in return asked him. Dave Boy stated he was asking him what to do. Alfred didn't know why he had to always decide. Dave boy states after all these years asked why now he had to the thinking. Alfred had gone soft.

They will meet at 1100 hour, at Troy house. Not a neutral place. The 3 who made up Troy's crew Banjo, Monty, and Rita were on the couch waiting, Melanie Troy was present too. Serving tea and having a spat with her husband.

Dave Boy was not sure of the plan. Asking how they all knew how long the fight would go for. All, including Alfred told Dave Boy, all matches are fixed. Which shocked him. Banjo added a rude remark about the easter bunny not being real either.

A crew numbering 5 went to the wrestling match. Alfred and Dave boy were with Troy while the other 2 Banjo and Rita stood out in the hall. The 3 of them went in to take all the money and drill the safe, then insert a fuse to blow the safe.

The plan didn't work, the wrestling match didn't play out as normal. Still blowing it after the match was over. The other 2 try to block the door. That didn't work, they shoot at the crowd. Alfred didn't want to shoot the lady wrestler, Banjo whom had taken off his mask did for him. All 6 of the crew were sitting with the money, Alfie was not Troy's boy any longer, and told them off. Angry at murder and the stupidity of one of the crew Banjo, he was shooting in a panic and even Rita agrees. The tragic robbery to make the news.

The Rose and Thorn Thanks to the last job Alfred went to see Mr. Wayne having the money for the payoffs and tickets to leave for America. With the CIA's help, will get him, his mother and Dave Boy on a plane. Wayne tries to talk him into doing 1 more job.

Troops stormed into Alfred's club. He was standing there looked shocked. The Queen arrived there with Victor Aziz. He was shocked that everyone knew about his plans of leaving for America. Aziz offer then to pay him in silence about another man's wife whom it is rumor of him be with. Waking up Dave Boy, as he was ready to leave for America. Alfred tells him, he has to do one more job for Aziz. Dave Boy asks, what Aziz has on him. Alfred said he doesn't have to come, didn't need to know. Dave Boy states it that bad. Alfred mentions a woman. Dave Boy knows, Mrs Troy and tells him half the club knows. She is trouble. He must be suicidal; Troy is the wrong guy to cross. They wished Bazza was here.

Alfred and Dave Boy join Martha, as they are to use a small diner where the Union takes Fox for a Burger. Waiting till Fox spends some time trying to instruct the waitress in how a burger should be made, till making a move in he hopes to avoid bloodshed. Trying to talk like one soldier to another. Alfred and his team have no choice but to open fire. Successful in getting Lucius Fox into the back seat of the car. Alfred was driving, while Martha try to get info out of the scientist about Project Stormcloud.

Dave boy, sat with Mrs. P and Mrs. Troy sat waiting, expecting to be on that plane. As Mrs Pennyworth was so thankful not to be leaving. Daveboy still follows closely to Alfred Pennyworth's lead. Feeling upset that Alfred paused with second thought, as they walked out to the plane.

Fight for London[]

Dave Boy was watching over Mrs. Pennyworth so she would not be alone, in case Troy were to come. They would now have to face the consequence of staying in London and not leaving on the plane for America. Because at the moment Prime minister Aziz and Alfred Pennyworth stood out in the open of a foggy field. Waiting for a meeting with Raven Union. Ravens pull up in 2 cars. Salt and General Nelson Thursday stood before them.

Dave Boy was glad when Alfred came by, talking as if it was good news. Tired of waiting for his old SAS Captain to find him, Alfred goes to Troy's house, Alfred falls into a trap when he is cornered by the last two members of Troy's crew of thieves Monty, and Rita.

Dave Boy and Mrs. P then track Alfred down, Finding Rita at Troy's house, they beat the info out of her. and save him driving to the wood. At the very moment as Monty was going to kill they find Alfred. Alfred asks Dave Boy to call an ambulance for Troy. He has to ask Alfie if he does really have to.

Lucius, Thomas and Martha in Paradise Lost went to Alfred's house to talk to him. Having to face how Alfred's mother feels about Alfred going into danger. They hatch a plan. Having only a day till it will be used on London. Dave Boy wakes up finding the 3 standing there as Alfred's stitches still hurt. Thomas explains as still CIA station Chief, Thomas informs the Union that he has brought back his missing scientist, Lucius Fox. Really use it to break into the Raven Union headquarters and steal the “Project Stormcloud” before that it can be used.

This plan is a suicide mission, and the entire crew treats it as such. Joining Prime minister Aziz and Lucius Fox, Dave Boy spend the evening drinking the night away.

The next day, Thomas, Lucius, Alfred, and Dave Boy drive to the Raven Union headquarters. The quartet can walk through the gates considering that Thomas is an agent of the CIA, an organization that is technically on the side of the Union.

Thomas informs the Union that he has brought back his missing scientist, Lucius Fox. They are allowed to pass and, although they are meant to be taken directly to John Salt, they dispose of their security escorts once they are inside and leave. Not wasting any time, they are eventually able to also sneak into the “Storm Cloud Project” lab. Alfred and his crew secure the “Stormcloud” weapon, and then move to get out. However, Salt eventually realizes that something is wrong, and the four men are captured before they can escape the compound. Dave Boy, Thomas, and Lucius are locked up in cells. Unexpectedly, Bet and her sister Peggy come to their aid, after also infiltrating the Raven Union compound while using Salt’s girlfriend to break through the doors and move freely within the building.

Now that they are armed, Alfred, Thomas, Lucius, and Dave Boy attempt to complete their mission, but are once again captured. The four men are taken to Salt’s chambers, where each has a chance to join the Union. They all decline the offer, as expected.

In the end, Alfred, Thomas, Lucius, Dave Boy, and Arthur drive away from the Raven Union headquarters with the “Project Stormcloud” weapon finally secured.

By The Lion and Lamb, Alfred and Dave Boy finally make it back to the Pennyworth home. the League only stole a decoy since Salt foresaw the possibility of many compactions with the weapon, which is why he had it already placed in London in a secret location. Making Mr. Pennyworth tell them the actual location Alfred and Dave Boy have to stop the Raven's real plan. Finding the Stormcloud in the crypt. Are too late as it seems to start to activate. Troy and Lucius Fox arrive on the scene to save Alfred and Dave Boy, but as Lucius attempts to deactivate the bomb, Fox realizes it's too late.

Dave Boy offers a drink, thinking they were about to die. Alfred comes up with a crazy plan. Troy pulls ranks, saying he would do it. Stormcloud is contained inside of him. London was saved.

6 months later. Down on the street of London as the fighting gets intense. They look beaten, till a single vehicle arrives. They unleash the new weapon, Troy, in his meta-human form. Alfred and Dave Boy with Katie and Bet's the troops charge into the battle.

New line of Work[]

It is 5 years later by the start of Well To Do. Daveboy is working for Alfred newest business opportunity. Taking on cases, also working with the government. Being the best at handling all the new People With Enhancements that were showing up in the city. As Bet Sykes and Mr Chadley had joined the group.

Having a missing person case. Bet was busy so Alfred and Dave Boy looked into finding the girl, named Jessica Thistle. She was being kept by Sister Susie. Having to use force to save her. They thought they were helping taking the girl home to her parents.

By Many Clouds the case has gotten alot harder. Dave Boy was watching Jessica at the hospital. Some one grabbed her. So, he thought he could hide the girl at Sandra's apartment.
